Student Testimonials
My name is Amanda and I am a student in my 5th semester at East West College of Natural Medicine and am pursuing a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. I decided to go into this program because Oriental Medicine has had a profound and positive effect on my own personal health more than any other system of medicine.
My experience at East West College has been completely positive from my very first day at orientation. Every day that I am at the school, whether it is sitting in lecture or helping to treat patients in the clinic, I am completely fascinated by what I learn. It is so amazing to me to learn things in class, apply what I have learned in the clinic, and see results in the patients in clinic. The clinic supervisors are more than helpful and have taught me hands on skills that help build my confidence week after week.
The school, in general, has a really good energy. The teachers and staff are passionate about teaching and helping the students. They are eager to pass on their knowledge and each gives a little something extra from their own experiences in their practices. The education is well rounded, providing not only education from a Chinese Medicine standpoint, but also providing a firm foundation in Western Medicine. I feel like this is such a bonus because it will help us students integrate the best of both worlds when we leave the school. Besides learning acupuncture, we are also learning how to order lab tests and will be able to diagnose disease from an Eastern and Western perspective.
The final thing that I love about this school is the people here. This school is full of wonderful people from staff to fellow students. I have become so close with my classmates, from spending so much time together, that they have become like a second family to me. This school is the most positive, rewarding, and fun environment I have ever learned in and I would recommend East West College of Natural Medicine to anyone who has an interest in entering the growing field of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
